Guide and FAQ
ZEROLINE runs free trading contests on Hyperliquid prices. Everyone starts with the same points, positions stay sealed until the bell, and you can check the result yourself without trusting the operator.
This is a testnet prototype. Points and prizes are test tokens with no value. No real money is involved at any point.
Fastest start: no wallet (10 seconds)
Click Play now at the top right and choose Play now, no wallet. ZEROLINE makes a test account in this browser and you can join, trade and claim right away. It lives in this browser only: clearing site data removes it, and it does not follow you to another device.
Or use your own wallet (3 minutes)
- Install a browser walletMetaMask on desktop Chrome works best. If you already use one, you're set.
- Use a fresh accountIn MetaMask, click the account name, then Add account, then a new account. Don't connect a wallet that holds real assets. This one can stay empty: ZEROLINE pays the gas.
- ConnectClick Play now at the top right, choose Connect a wallet and pick a nickname. That's a signed message, no gas.
- Approve the test network when askedThe first time you place an order, turn on one-click trading or host, your wallet asks to add or switch to the Hyperliquid testnet. Approve it. To add it by hand: Networks, Add network, Add manually, with the values below.

Your wallet may warn about this site because the domain is new. With a fresh, empty test account there is nothing at risk.
A 15-minute tour
- Look around the scheduleThe live wire at the top carries lead changes, overtakes and results. Below: the main event, the schedule and this week's division table.
- Enter a live contestThe Arena tab shows the clock, a line of commentary and the standings: rank moves, gap to the leader, gap to the player ahead, the prize line.
- Place your first tradeOpen the Trading desk tab, enable one-click trading (one signature, then no pop-ups), pick BTC, Long, 5x, 25% margin, and send. It fills in seconds. Then try a limit Short on ETH with take profit and stop loss.
- Watch the raceBack on the Arena tab: your rank, the distance to the prize line, and the player right ahead or your rival. Overtakes pop up at the bottom left; a lead change takes the screen for a moment.
- Host one yourselfHost: get test USDC from the faucet, pick markets, leverage cap, prize and split, and a length (10 minutes or more), then sign twice. The prize is locked in the contract when the contest is created.
- The bell and the resultAll orders are revealed on chain after the bell and the final ranking is posted about 10 minutes later. Ranks are revealed from P10 to P1; prize winners claim to their own wallet 10 minutes after that.
- Your player cardTier, recent finishes, badges and head-to-head records with your rivals.
How a contest works
- Everyone starts with the same points (10,000). Long or short, leverage up to the host's cap, market or limit orders, take profit and stop loss.
- Prices come from the Hyperliquid oracle, read on chain. Market orders fill at the price recorded in the block of your order; if it moved more than 0.5% the order is not filled.
- Sealed orders. Each order is committed on chain as a hash when you place it. Other players see only your return and rank until the bell, unless you turn on public mode. The operator can read an order to reveal it for you, but cannot change it or hold it back.
- Price records are taken on chain every 30 to 300 seconds. Limits, stops, take profits and liquidations are checked at each record. A position can lose at most its margin.
- Entry types. Open to all; pass holders (host's list or entry codes, non-transferable); principal-protected (deposit before the start, all of it comes back after the bell).
- Prizes are deposited by the host when the contest is created. Unclaimed prizes go back to the host after 7 days.
Tiers, divisions and badges
- Season points per contest reward finishing high in a big field. Only contests with 5 or more ranked players count.
- Tier points come from where you finish, never from how much you trade: podium +20, top 25% +12.
- Divisions. Each week (Monday 00:00 UTC) players are grouped with others of their tier, up to 30 per division, and ranked by that week's season points. The top 20% (up to 6) get +15 tier points, the bottom 20% get -10. Zones open once a division has 10 players.
- Tiers: Bronze, Silver (60), Gold (150), Platinum (270), Diamond (420), each in three steps.
- Titles, like Man of the Match or Fastest Lap, go out after every contest with 5+ ranked players. Skill titles count toward your record: Iron Discipline (smallest drawdown in the top 25%), Sharpest (best return for the drawdown) and Most Consistent (of the week). Fun titles: Hot Hand (best run, top half only), Comeback of the Day, Lead Lap (longest at P1), Rookie of the Day. Skill titles add 5 tier points, the others 3. During a contest the arena shows the title race.
- Share and challenge. Results, titles, overtakes, your tier and (in public mode) your positions can be shared as a card: post the link and X, Telegram or Discord show the card. A challenge link sends a friend straight into your contest.
- Badges: Steady hand, Verified trader, Comeback, Regular, Podium x5, Wire to wire. Your player card shows the progress toward each.
Check a result yourself
Every contest page has a Rules and verify tab with the rules file and the contract addresses. A public script reads the chain and recomputes the whole ranking and every prize:
node verify.cjs --rpc <testnet RPC> --contest <prize contract> --rules rules.json
If the posted ranking does not match what the chain says, the script shows it. Claims open only after a review window so anyone can check first.
FAQ
Why is there a prize check?
Anyone can play, even without a wallet. To receive a prize, link the wallet you trade with on Hyperliquid once (Settings, Prize check). It needs at least one trade there, and one wallet can back only one account, so one person cannot collect prizes with many accounts. Prizes are confirmed 24 hours after the end; a prize place without a check passes to the next player.
What are quick matches, duels and teams?
A quick match starts as soon as enough players wait. A duel is 15 minutes against one player of similar rating; your duel rating moves with every result. Teams score the average season points of their best three members. Every day at 13:00 UTC there is a Daily Main Event.
Are there fees?
Points contests charge trading fees in points like Hyperliquid (0.045% for market orders, 0.015% for limit orders) and market orders get a little slippage, so results look like real trading. Falling more than the host's limit (usually 50%) from your high disqualifies you.
Does this cost anything?
No. It runs on a testnet. Points and prizes are test tokens with no value, and ZEROLINE pays the gas for every action.
Why does my wallet ask me to sign so often?
Joining, a nickname and links are signed messages (no gas). Turn on one-click trading in a contest to sign once and trade without pop-ups until the bell. That key lives in this browser and cannot move funds.
Can other players see my positions?
No, only your return and rank, until the bell. If you turn on public mode in Settings, your opened and closed positions show on the live wire while you play.
My order was not filled. Why?
Market orders are not filled if the price moved more than 0.5% by the time the order landed. Your margin stays free. Limit orders wait for an on-chain price record that reaches them.
How do I get my prize?
After the final ranking is posted and the review window ends, a Claim button appears on the contest page and in My contests. The prize goes straight to your wallet.
The page says I'm not connected, or the wallet pop-up does not go away.
Reload the page and open the wallet extension once. If a request is stuck, reject it in the wallet and try again. Use Disconnect in the account menu to start clean.
Can I use my phone?
Yes, in the browser built into a mobile wallet app such as MetaMask. Desktop Chrome is the smoothest.
